The AJC Peachtree Road Race is one of the Fourth of July traditions in Atlanta with its festive atmosphere and creative spectators wearing red, white and blue cheering on the runners and walkers. The event attracts 60,000 people. The start time of the race varies. The link below has detailed information about the “wave time”. The race starts in Buckhead near the Lenox Square Mall and ends in Piedmont Park. Participants and Spectators who decide to travel from East Cobb or Metro Atlanta are encouraged to take MARTA. The traffic and parking will be limited. The Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo is at the Georgia World Congress Center on July 2nd and 3rd from 9:00-6:00. This is a FREE Expo. Check it out!
